Learn How To Get Started In Stock Market Trading.

At the time when I was reaching twelve years old, I started to get fascinated in stock market trading. I started out buying my first two stocks which were the Union Oil of California as well as Sears Roebuck department stores stocks. During that time, these were the only two companies that I am very familiar with as these two companies are where my family bought our gasoline and shopped for almost a whole lot of other thing that we need. My stock market trading knowledge as you might probably understand was only on paper.  However, fifteen years later, I turn into a licensed stockbroker for real and now my stock market trading was using my ideas and other people’s, mostly my client money.

The first and number one rule I learned as a professional was the same rule I happened to fall upon on when I was twelve. That is in your stock market trading, you only invest your money in the companies that you know and familiar with.  At that time, I am familiar with the Union Oil.  The gas station was right down the street from my house.  Everyone knew my mother and father there.  When they gave away free calendars every year, they kept one for us.  From there, I learn more about the company and liked what I knew and that is the best regulation to follow if you are starting out in stock market trading.

How many billions of dollars did normal people lose in their stock market trading during the late 1990’s when they bought shares of companies that they had no idea about?  They heard the word Internet and they bought it not considering if the company’s business plan made any logic.  That is not stock market trading.  That is not even rational gambling.

Stock market trading can be both profitable and enjoyable if you know what you are doing and how to do it.  Stock market trading is not brain surgery.  It is based on 80% common sense and 20% educating yourself.  The most successful and profitable traders I have known over the years were individuals that followed nobody else’s opinion but listened to everyone else’s information and facts.  I am not speaking about stock market trading gossips. What I mean is the real facts.

The successful traders used their heads to think before trading. They will then make the buys and sells that they thought made sense. Most importantly in their stock market trading, they only invested in companies that they understood.  If they felt that the company’s idea might be reasonable but they did not fully understand it, they taught themselves by finding out the facts.

Stock market trading is not as complex as you thought of. It is almost the same as any other money making scheme. However, one thing you must always bear in mind is that in any business ventures, you must always understand what you are doing. If you are unfamiliar, it is better not to get involve. This rule is also applicable to stock market trading.
